Guangdong Provincial Institute of Gastroenterology and Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Colorectal plus Pelvic Floor Disease Research is located in the sixth affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Guangdong Province Gastrointestinal and Anal Hospital), with is configured with the central laboratory, molecular diagnostic laboratory, database, tissue bank, laboratory animal center. A total area is about 6000㎡, and a total value of equipment more than 50 million yuan. The Institute implements the project principal investigator (PI) system.
　　Around the guidelines and policies of national major disease prevention and control with considerations on the practical needs of Guangdong Province, the Institute integrates the leading academic advantages and rich clinical resources of Sun Yat-sen University in the field of gastrointestinal diseases, and actively conducts foreign exchange and cooperation.
