Research Instittute Introduction

　Guangdong Researchl Institute of Gastroenterology and Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Colorectal plus Pelvic Floor Disease Research is located in the sixth affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Guangdong Province Gastrointestinal and Anal Hospital), with is configured with the central laboratory, molecular diagnostic laboratory, database, tissue bank, animal research facility. A total area is about 6000 ㎡, and a total value of equipment more than 50 million yuan. The Institute implements the project principal investigator (PI) system.

Achievements

Since its establishment in 2007, the Institute has undertaken and participated in more than 60 projects, including national, provincial, municipal-level, university-level projects and fund projects, and obtained a total of more than 50 million yuan of scientific research funds. It has obtained over 10 patents and published more than 40 papers in high-level SCI magazine including Cancer Cell, Gastroenterology and so forth (IF≥5).
